What time of the month do creditors report the new balances?

I am about to pay down several credit cards that are maxed out.   How will I know when they will report the new balances to the credit bureaus?   Should I dispute the balances or just wait on them to report them?

Hi, newtoit, I replied on your post over on the other board.

It gets awfully confusing when the same post appears on different boards, btw, so it will help if you just post once.

You can tell for sure if they've posted if you have some sort of credit monitoring service. I use TrueCredit, and I can pull all three reports every 24 hours + 1 minute. Sometimes the credit bureaus delay posting the new balances, but when they do, EX and TU show the actual date that it was updated (mm/dd/yyyy.)
