Still no word on the house.

I just talked to "fingerhut" and they agreed to report right then over the phone my zero balance to TU and EQ.  They agreed to this because the did not report last month.

However, that piece of junk catalog company dropped my credit limit from 1350 to 600.  They said they did this because I wasn't using it.   My score is going to take a nosedive until the other three tradelines update my balances of zero.  Please remind me of this when I'm freaking out all over the place!!

By the way, my TU Score is now 700!!  I just found out from Truecredit.  YIPEEE  !! YES.  Oh that house is mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!                                   just kidding

Would you like the bad news about the scores you get from TC now or later?

EX - 3/11 pulled by lender- 835, EQ - 2/11-816, TU - 2/11-782

Got a SW today!! Score up to 630.    I LOVE SCOREWATCH AND MY FICO ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I have TWO more Zeros that will report soon, and then my 496/1000 Care Credit will report a 25 dollar balance.  This is six points for only 1/4 accounts reporting down.

 Why do you think SW picked this up??  My utilization went from 31 to 29 so this could be the pointage.  or the zero could be the pointage.  Who will ever know?

Carecredit hit my reports last night.  My revolving is now 402/3000 - 13%.  I didn't get any more points, stuck at 630, same as yesterday.  (I am sure yesterday Carecredit was reporting 497).       I guess I have to wait to get to below the 9% mark now.  GOSH DARN IT (to put it mildly).  Luckily the next two to hit will both report as zero (hopefully).

The simulator is saying if I just leave 25 dollars, my score will be 630-710 but if I left 100 it would be 640+. Did I not leave enough on there for a balance?

My "Understanding My Credit" profile is still listing NEGATIVE ITEMS/SERIOUS DEROG PUBLIC RECORD/COLLECTIONS/SEEKING CREDIT in that order.  I can't do anything about any of those things, too late, damage is done.

What is helping is PAYING BILLS ON TIME/LOW CREDIT USAGE - but neither of those say VERY GOOD, only GOOD.  So finicky.

It takes time. Just keep on doing what you're doing.

The sim comes up with weird predictions, and the one you cited is typical. I wouldn't put any faith in it. Even leaving a dollar is enough.

Give it a full month for everything to update and percolate through, and then you'll know where you are. After that, it's patience time.

You'll get there!

Hi Hauling - Happy Sunday Morning!  Thanks for your reply.  Sometimes I wonder if anyone reads this.  I would love any feedback i can get!  I know I post a lot but this helps me deal.

I'm glad you said the simulator isn't spot on.

Regarding waiting a month?? Won't the score automatically go up as soon as the other 2 balances report?

Yes, in your case, since you have relatively few open accounts, you only need to wait on those last two. I was being a bit too general. For most people, when they pay down their cards, it's kind of like turning an aircraft carrier around in mid-channel. It takes a while for the full change of direction.

And I know that you're trying for a house, so the "patience" part will only help for the long run. But that part's important, too.

I was finally able to log into TU today at True Credit - they have not yet updated the carecredit account.  I know that won't affect my EQ score but I'm just telling anyone who cares that TU seems to be slower to update than EQ was in this case.   And yes, they do update on weekends (obviously).
