Re: What will get me from 624 to 640?

[ Edited ]

SW alert - the first said no changes to credit report.  Then got another that said score moved.  Dropped from 632 to 623 - I have no idea why.

Edited to add:  There is no new changes - no new inqu or balance changes since my last score alert 9/4 when my score was 632.

Re: What will get me from 624 to 640?

GW  email DENIED again.  I even mentioned that those at this forum were working with collection agencies every day getting GW deletes.  He claimed he reviewed my account again, and bc I didn't pay within 30 days he would not delete - that I was asking him to be unethical.  This guy won't budge.  The other CA just simply ignores me completely.  They don't even ever respond.  I srsly think I'm stuck with these paid medical collections for many years to come.

Score updated log dated 9/17/11 (Say that in a star trek voice) ---My EQ went up 5 points - the Lowe's AU account is gone.  But weirdly enough, CareCredit already reported my new balance of 313 when it was zero for months.  IDK why they did that.  Creditkarma up 6 points.  BTW, Credit Karma uses the exact same TU score as TrueCredit and Elminate ID Theft.

Re: What will get me from 624 to 640?

Here is a helpful denial letter I got from Progressive Insurance (denied best rate).  This is the most detailed rejection FICO related rejection I've ever seen.

"According to Transunion, the following criteria has the largest impact in determining your insurance score"  (So this is prob the insurance FICO criteria?)

One collection account occurred within the last 5 years. Optimum Value is 0.

Consumer has 1 or more bankruptcies.  Optimum value is 0.

Oldest bankcard account was opened within the past 96 months.  Optimum value is 216 months; score will improve as months increase to between 97 and 215 months.  (could that mean next month i get a boost?)

Number of bank installment accounts is 3.  Optimum value is 0 or 1; score will improve with 2 or fewer.  I'm guessing this is truck, student loan, and old student loan?  All are staying for a while.  Will the mortgage be counted as a "bank installment account?"

Re: What will get me from 624 to 640?

I disputed the Lowe's AU account w/ EQ and it took them over a month.  I disputed it with TU online Saturday and it was gone already today.  While I was at it, I disputed a collection that is set to fall off next month as "Too old" and it was gone, too.  TU IS FAST and EQ IS SLOW.

Bummed bc I lost all my SW reports.  I decided I'd cancel SW since EQ has their version for 3 bucks cheaper.  Boy, I learned my lesson the hard way!!!  I thought that might happen so I wrote down my scores, but I still lost the reports..  I'm putting the scores I wrote on scratchpaper here so i can have them in this thread.

EQ SCORE HISTORY PER SW

5/24/11   600

6/4/11     609

7/17/11  630

8/15/11  624

8/23/11  624

Re: What will get me from 624 to 640?

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HIPAA worked with all the paid medical collections on Transunion!  I LOVE TU.  This was the middle score that got me my house.  TU seems much more forgiving of my horrible disaster of a credit history.  Hopefully EX and EQ will follow suit!

My Credit Karma score went up only 6 points. Though I still have a couple other collections and the judgment so I didn't expect much anyway.  It was just the POINT of having collections that were my husband's that made me so furious.   :smileyhappy:

Hopefully Professional Credit doesn't find out about this and re-report them.  Any ideas on how to prevent this from happening?  Will Transunion allow them to do that?

Re: What will get me from 624 to 640?

HIPPA didn't work with EQ.  Verified "they belong to you".

I had sent a copy of my mortgage statement as proof of who I am / address and STUPID EQ said "We researched your mortgage dispute.  Equifax is currently not reporting this account."

We'll see what EX does I guess.  I have no idea what to do now w/ these paid medical collections that tehcnically are not mine (DH's).  GW is doing NOTHING.  They just ignore me.

Re: What will get me from 624 to 640?

I have fifteen separate old paid, goodstanding Sallie Mae student loans reporting on EX that are ALL set to fall off in November.

From my calculations, this is going to take my AAoA from  7.2 years to 2.9 years.  What a disaster.  And EX used to love me.  The loans (not as many on EQ and TU) have already dropped from EQ and TU and I didn't see any major droppage in points.  My AAoA on EQ did drop from 7 to 4 years, (too bad I lost my SW reports).  And I didn't lose many points there.

I'm tweeking out on my credit reports today and need to STOP.

I called EQ about my disputes on the medicals that weren't mine and the CSR says that they only thing they do when they do a dispute is verify the info from the collection agency.  So even though I have PROOF that I was not the patient they are not going to do anything about it - only go with what the CA is saying.  I asked if I could send in statements from the different providers proving I wasn't the patient or the insurer and she said it wouldn't matter.  They only investigate as far as asking the reporting party if it's accurate or not!  This is just scandelous how they run things.  When I asked her why TU deleted so easily, she said "That's why everyone uses Equifax.  We're more accurate."
