Where do I go from here

Since June, I have spent endless hours reading your posts, calling collection agencies, initiating disputes and have finally cleared all the wrong numbers on my reports, its not pretty but it is better. During this time I found my Equifax report to be the worst and have focused on that CRA to do a better job cleaning it up. Today my scores are still not pretty but are better TU 638, EQ 620, EX 660 It has taken all of just over six months to get my scores turned round, I recently got approval for a capital one card and a target card. Building credit again takes time, I resided to the fact that it was not going to happen over night, although I have a long way to go... I feel good about what I have done, and once bitten twice shy. so pay on time, deal with the situations do not procrastinate, Keep low balances. . Fico Scores as of Today :   TU 677 , EXP 690 , EQ 665

Original Scores June 2007  TU 539 , EXP  604, EQ 581

They are getting better, Increased my secured bank card from 1,500 to 5,000, took a jump of TU 42 Points, EXP 30 points and EQ 52 Points

Hopefully, I can turn that into a secured card soon

There are lots of people with scores just a little lower than your most recent ones that are getting prime cards with wonderful credit limits.

Now that you're in the upper 600's, what do you have on your reports? Open and closed CC's and loans, balances and CL's, any baddies, etc.

Those of us who've done our app'ing for a lifetime love looking at other people's reports and making suggestions!

Hey Jimmy!  You have done an excellent job in bringing your util under control, and that will reap great future FICO benefits!  But your report has some glaring lates that will haunt you for a long time. Lates within the past year, and many lates before that, are what is killing your score.  Lates dont go away rapidly, so dont expect any major improvements for awhile.

Thank you, I know I had glaring lates and only took control last June, It was my ignorance and avoiding the problem that lead me here.
