Will adding authorized user help to build credit history?

My wife didn't have any credit history back in 2007.

I added her as an authorized user of my Bank of America credit card and I have never missed any payments.

Will my wife have her credit history built on her name by now?

If not, what should be done to have her own credit history? She can't apply for her own credit card as she is not working/earning.

If I ask her to apply her own credit card and add me as the co-borrower, will that work?

Her two FICO scores pulled from here are a good determinate of whether or not she's established any history.

If her scores are strong, then she could app. Many apps ask for "household income". Or if they ask for individual income, then they'll give you the opportunity to enter household income.
