Hi gang, its been a while since I have checked things out here, but I am very happy to report that my EQ is 620! 195 point gain since 6/30/08....thanks again for all your help! Just need for EX and TU to get there, but will only go up with the knowledge that I have gained from everyone here! Thanks again!
AWESOME improvement!!! WTG!
Thanks everyone...
Well, I do not know if this would work for everyone, but it did help me...I began to dv and dispute and send out GW...sometimes, when I just wanted quick action, I would just jump to the PFD. I did also take out a outrageous title loan at 40% to pay off some PFD'S...knowing that with my improved score, I would refinance that with yet another loan at 18%. I was able to pay off the 40% loan before my first payment was due, I have paid two payments at the 18%, but my scores have improved to the point where I am going to refinance my house, pay off the 18% loan and 2 last medical collections. I am lucky to have lived in my house for about 10 years, so I have equity, and I am doing a FHA refinance. My rate will be a bit higher (.25%) and it will cost me 3000 in closing costs, which I will roll into the loan, but my goal is to sell this house this spring and buy one that is about double the cost...so I wanted even better scores in about 6 months. I did go to court and get 2 paid judgments vacated...(I posted about that earlier), which helped, and I have been avoiding credit cards, using a debit card and some low high interest loans that I pay off quickly. I was always very nice to debt collectors and some I had to explain the pfd to since they only wanted to "update" as paid. I am not out of the clear yet, but hope that I will keep going up. I also try to minimize the number of payments I have, because in the past I was always juggling. I know that I am "stealing from Peter to pay Paul" a little bit, but I do have a plan, and I like installment loans better than cc debt. The other thing is my income has stabilized a bit, which helped me pay off chunks of debt. II did open up a Crown jewelers account, I have a new low cap one card (300) which gave my scores a boost, because I did not have any cc (hurting my scores) which is going to be evaluated in 90 days for increase. When my last charge off shows up as paid (Arrow financial...would not PFD) I am going to get a B of A secured card with my some of my tax return...maybe $1000 (?) because I want to be looking pretty when I get my new house this late spring/early summer....
