annualcreditreport, FAKOs?

Hi,

Somewhere in these forums I've read that annualcreditreport.com gives FAKOs. I just want to confirm if this is true because the annualcreditreport.com website states that they allow 1 free score per year directly from each CRA (Eq, Ex and TU).

My next question is, will getting the free report from annualcreditreport.com result from a soft pull?.
\
Thanks.

Re: annualcreditreport, FAKOs?

Equifax credit scores obtained through annualcreditreport.com are genuine FICO scores.  The scores from Experian and TransUnion are FAKOs.   According to the annualcreditreport.com website, you're able to obtain a free credit report "once every 12 months from each of the nationwide consumer credit reporting companies: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion."  However, you must purchase your credit score

A soft pull will appear as a result of requesting your annual credit report.
