can a dispute be reversed?

unfortunately not really knowing the effect a dispute would have on my score, i disputed a balance on an old amex acct. (mistakenly thinking it was showing a balance) and they deleted the whole account which dropped my score.

is there any way to reverse the damage that i've done by disputing and to get that account back up and reporting again?  doh!

Re: can a dispute be reversed?

If the account is open, then I'd wait a month to see if they report it back. CCs tend to update the same time each month based on your statement. If they report next time, the TL should reappear. If not, you'd have to call Amex.
