i have a car loan that has over 11 months of lates that is reported as charge off in the account section of my credit report. I've negotiated with the supervisor to change the status to paid as agreed, but he won't remove the lates. will changing the status from charge off to paid as agreed with the lates still attached improve my score at all besides the obvious lower amount of installment debt owed?
