closing a card

Company arbitrarily closed my acct. I had zero late payments and only a $600 credit limit. My balance was less than $100. Does this adversely affect my credit score?

Re: closing a card

it may affect you adversely, if your available credit has been significantly reduced (as in, if that was your only card, or one of two cards).

Re: closing a card

Hi trl, welcome to the forums. Please read credit scoring 101, if you haven't already. What else is going on with your reports? Is there still a $100 balance? Are there more cards? What kinds of scores are there? Any baddies happening? Those sorts of things. Give us a more complete picture, if you can.
