You know what, that's right--that's what's happening. The same sort of thing happens with TrueCredit, and doubtless the other monitoring services.

I guess in terms of deciding what information to believe, maybe we should regard myFICO and TrueCredit and the other secondary reports as somewhat boozy tipsters checking in with the cops--most of the story is pretty accurate, but some of the details are a bit shaky!
