help to understand the 35% of payment history.

I have some questions about how the 35% of payment history work. I understand that late payment will bring that score down, but what if i carry the balance for a few months and the minimum payment is always on time, does it bring down my payment history score? If so, how long it takes to bring it back.

If carrying some balance over a few months with on time minimum payment only affect my utilization score, then will the utilization score get fully recovered once I pay down all the balance? If not, how long it takes to get the score back?

Thanks in advance.

Re: help to understand the 35% of payment history.

FICO has no memory and your score is based on what is on your report at the time it is pulled.

If you have 90% utilization this month you are scored based on that.  If you have 14% for the next 6 months, you are scored on that.

FICO does not score your payments, only if you are late.
