There is a HUGE difference between my Credit Score here (myFICO) and my new quarterly BofA Privacy Assist Report - Does anyone know why that would be? TU 706 here vs BofA 654?? Also, TU's own WebSite cited by 669 I think - What say You?? Thanx, Rick

MyFICO scores are obviously FICO scores. Scores offered from sites like PrivacyAssist, TrueCredit, CreditCheckTotal, FreeCreditReport, Experian.com, Transunion.com, and so on are not FICO scores. They are fake scores, as we call them, FAKO scores. These companies created their own score to try to emulate a FICO score. Lenders don't use these scores and I always tell people to ignore them. Your FICO can go up while your FAKO goes down, and vice-versa for the same event. My favorite example is when my last CA dropped off, my FICO shot up 58 points on EX. My FAKO (I think through CCT) dropped 8 points. Score ranges are often different too (TU's website range goes from 501-990, vs. a FICO score of 300-850).
The only place to get all 3 FICO scores together is via this website. You can get your EQ FICO score from here or from Equifax.com if buying EQ only (EQ partnered w/ FICO). You can get your TU score from here or from transunioncs.com (note the -cs). And you can get your EX FICO from here or from PA State Employees Credit Union, if a member (there may be one or two other CUs offerring this now too).
