opt-out

I have about 10 inquiries on my report.
4 will come off this year or early next.  The remaining are for WAMU and Capital One. I do not plan on opening a new line of credit with either of them.  Should I opt out because it seems like Capital One is checking my report every month to offer me pre approved offers that I don't want.   Any advice will be appreciated.

Re: opt-out

They are pulling soft inquiries which do not hurt you. It only affects your score if you actually apply.

If you decide you do want to opt out of receiving offers, go to http://www.optoutprescreen.com or call 1-888-5 OPT OUT.
