public records and rebucketing

there was a phrase listed in pevious post as "rebucketing" could someone explain what that means please...also on public record that is 5 yrs old does it do any good to have to have 1 unpaid? or is it like a collection doesnt matter if paid or unpaid if its still listed....going to court middle of april for set aside a judgement but found 1 unpaid thru a divorce i was never served....should i bust butt geeting it paid now or wait till we go to court

"Bucketing" is a term used to desribe how your CR is judged against other people in your "bucket" or credit score group. When you get rebucketed it means you have been placed into a different group or "bucket". I know this may sound confusing but I am sure someone with more knowledge on this will post and clear everything up for you.
