score goes up and down

I just had a huge drop in my score. I had a delinquent on my report from two years ago. Somone had a card in my name. So I oaid and closed it out. I had a huge jump from 620-707. Now it went from 707-615. Will it eventually go back up huge? Its the only negative item on my report.

Re: score goes up and down

Just because you paid the debt does not remove the negative indicator.

While you say your score increased I can not determine why unless you disputed the account.

In my opinion you will not see a huge increase unless you can get the negative item removed from your reports.

There is no guarantee it will be removed from reports.

It will hurt less and less over time.
