I paid off a small cc balance, went from 53.8 uti to 46.7 uti.   The stimulator says I could possible jump 40 points at the most.   Can anyone tell me what i can expect as far as a jump in my fico?

Thanks

Re: uti

From over 50% to under 50% is said to be a big threshold to cross however the 40 points seems to me a bit high. I would aim my sights on a more conservative number like 20-25 points. However if there are any anniversaries of accounts bringing your average age up. Maybe an automatic CLI brining overall util down.

Re: uti

I do have a cc I opened with HSBC in 6/07.  When do they update for anniversaries?  And how many points do they usually give?

Re: uti

6/08 your inq for the HSBC card should fall off having about 10 points increase. As for your 1 year anniv. It may not effect much on average age of all accounts since it is only at the 1 year mark.
