why dont lenders use TU-98, HOLY COW!

hey all, last night I got a credit karma alert for some changes this month (I had some collections removed from my TU).  Anyway, I got a moddest 25ish point jump on the FAKO.  So I was bored last night and figured what the heck, so I ordered and updated TU-98 from here.  Still, to my disbelief, 774 score! Holy Cow!!! But of course this has to be on the "outdated" version...so Im anxiously waiting for my walmart TU-08 to update and still honestly in "awe" of seeing that 774.

HOPEFULLY, my new TU-08 will follow suit and have a major jump, and Id honestly be hapy with 700+.  A brief summary of last month, my TU98 was 728 and my TU08 was only 640.

Congrats. Just know that many lenders are still using TU04.

Re: why dont lenders use TU-98, HOLY COW!

I'm not sure how much weight I put in the TU-08.

My TU 08 is around 669 or so. I was so alarmed when I saw the score that I bought my TU 98 score here. It was 715. The very next day, a mortgage broker pulled my scores and my TU 04 was 735.

I'm ignoring the walmart score for now. It is so far off from the other two that it is pretty meaningless to me.

thanks everyone!  I was so excited to see that 774 on my TU98 that I forgot to credit each and everyone who posts on this forum.  The knowledge here is definately power. My Trans Union report is completely baddie free now, and since walmart updated today, my TU08 went from 640 in Feb to 758 as of today!  Im very excited as them long nights of reading on here have actually paid off!

yes, Im aware.  That is why it was important for me to get a nice increase on my 08 version.  I dont know my actual 04 score but Id guess its around my 98-08 scores, 758-774.

Re: why dont lenders use TU-98, HOLY COW!

If applying for a mortgage lenders use TU04

Which is usually (not always) higher then the TU98 version pulled here

BofA also uses TU04 for their BofA and Merrill Lynch cards.  My various inquiries for my cards were from TU, and in conversation with Merrill Lynch CSR, they advised they pull TU04.
