Just checked my score with score watch and updated sig

No kidding here. I was pretty surprised when I looked as well. Any advice on which card I should apply for first? I posted the original question on page 2 but I currently already have an open cap1 card with a $500 limit and want to know which card to go after next. I iibk an orchard bank card so I wasnt too sure about them....maybe barclays?

 

edit: score watch guesses another $500 limit card would put me in the 660-670 range. I do have a navy fed account and was thinking the secured but would prefer an unsecured card. On the other hand a relationship with them beyond checking/saving sounds like a good plan. Thanks!!!

DISCHARGED!!!!!!!! Just opened a $500 secured card through Navy fed and I also kept a $500 cap one credit card through the BK. So stoked to start rebuilding!

I have been through Chapter 7 and while I am not proud of it, I can say that I felt like the weight of the world had been lifted off of my shoulders when it was done.

 

I wish you the very best and remember to read the "How To...after BK" that is posted here.  I would have givein anything to have had that when mine was discharged 4 years ago!!

 

 

I have read over that process so many times! Haha, thank you for the kind words. I didn't want to file either and felt like BK was a bad word. I waited and waited, only prolonging what needed to be done, and when a company threatened a lawsuit over some medical bills I pulled the trigger. I am glad I did it now though. I am ready to start rebuilding and getting my credit back where it used to be. I already have a capital one card that I kept through the BK that has 7yrs of good history (3 30 day lates maybe) when I check the pre approval on capital ones website I get two offers but fear my BK won't show discharged on my report yet and really don't want a hit/decline.

My poor little TU score has not changed what so ever during my early BK journey.. Makes me so sad haha.. Its the only one that is below a 600 now. Hopefully a couple months of good payments on my open cards will help that soon.. Meh, just ranting because I just updated all my scores. Thanks for listening
