I filed Chapter 13 June 1998. I made my last payment February 2012. Somehow my account was not recognized as paid in full because I was not due for final payment till June of 2013. After 3 months of awaiting on the funds to be disbursed, I contacted the trustee's office to see what was the delay. Final payments were sent out 3 weeks after that & I was told I would receive my discharge papers in 60 to 90 days. Again my paperwork was overlooked & I was not officially discharged until October 2012 after contacting the trustees office to inquire about the delay. Thanks for that info.  IMO, courts should have accurate, up to the minute account reporting.   Its just irresponsible for a branch that so many depend on.  I was hoping this wouldn't take so long but I have yet to receive any paperwork from my attorney's office.  So much for this being finalized LAST month, since I'm now at 54 days past the last payment.  

First off let me correct my errors I filed June of 2008. I made final payment February of 2012. Final payments were sent out May of 2012.

No one seemed to want to help because they view it as you placed yourself in the predicament. I called my trustee and got no where. Maybe if you contact the clerk of court directly, a little more insight may be given.

*****Sooo an update******

 

Seems like you're telling my future Sha80.  Spoke with my lawyer's office this morning.  I was told that they hadn't heard anything either, but the only thing they (meaning me!!) can do is wait.  They kept trying to reassure me that my plan was completed, I just have not received my discharge.    Duh!! Only the most important part!  I was told she'd contact the trustee (which she's usually pretty good about doing) and see what's going on.  This process is too long and drawn out.  If I have to wait more than 48hrs for an answer, I swear I'm calling myself!!

 

The anxiety & wait for your discharge is just as bad as waiting for the date of your last payment. I accrued over $50 in Pacer charges anticipating mine. Now I'm in constant dispute with the CRA's to have my accounts reported correctly so I can move forward with life after BK.

Just updating this thread, since I've done so much griping lately!! I got my DISCHARGE today!!!!!  

 

I just logged in today and there it was!  Very special thanks to Rhaeny for informing me about pacer.  Pacer changed my life!! 

YAY!!!!! I call mine my get out of jail card   CONGRATS!

Isn't it a wonderful feeling?  The feeling of total relief from this bondage and scrutinization is undescribable but certainly more than welcome!
