I agree with speaking to a BK attorney. Typically they offer a free consultation and will easily be able to help you with your options. The medical debt will most likely be discharged and removed off his CR as if it never happened. It sucks because the hospital probably did a great job to get him back and healthy but Health Care Cost in this country is WAY TOO HIGH.
But that is a different topic for a different forum.
We were in the process of filing when our son had respiratory issues and we took him to our pediatrician where we were advised to take him to the ER. The ER insisted that he be admitted. We followed orders and was later stuck with a $8900 hospital stay, and we had insurance. Unfortunately we had a $10,000 deductible and we were paying over $500/month in insurance premiums.
