Dismissed Chapter 13

Greetings everyone,

 

In 2006, 2007, 2008, I filed Chapter 13 to save several of my real estate properties.  How long are the credit repositories allowed to list each item on my credit report.  Also, does anyone have any advise on how to dispute these items?

Dismissed Ch 13's can be reported for 10 years.

 

Discharged Ch 13's are reported for 7 years.

 

Was your 13 dismissed or discharged?

They were all dismissed.

So they will show up for 10 years each.

You might be able to dispute them off - I have heard of it, but never experienced it. After all, it is a separate public record that is picked up in PACER very easily so even if you dispute it off your cr report, the public record shows forever.

in the garden means not applying for any new credit whatsoever and letting treating your existing credit as good as possible and watching your credit score grow like you would plants in a garden... Welcome and Good Luck!!!

+1, dismissed Ch 13s remain on the credit report for 7 years.

Whoops typo...dismissed Ch 13s remain on the credit report 10 years from filing date NOT 7 years. My apologies.
