Yes, I agree that our insurance rate *should* only be based on driving history but I have seen my credit reports and can see the inquiries from our carrier (Farm Bureau) about every 6 months. And I don't want to "open a can of worms" by asking them. 

beammeup, that's good news that at least you didn't contend with that. We've been customers for 4 1/2 years so I would certainly hope that there is some loyalty there. How long did you have your insurance before filing? I wonder if it matters.
