Ive had my card since 09 with perfect payment history. I called and asked about the soft vs hard pull and the CSR told me that he can request and see if i am preapproved based on my income for a soft pull and if they need to do a hard pull he can see it and stop it. In my case i was pre approved for 100 cli with a soft pull. ill let everyone know if i pull my report and see something different. 300 to 400 now... i guess its not bad since no hard pull but i plan on canceling soon anyhow.
