Echoing advice already given. Go for student cards right now and Amex zync. Getting in with Amex early is good. Probably wont qualify for most Amex revolvers. If you really want Amex revolver, then go for zync and then app for Amex revolver assuming you got approved. Also remember to include any scholarships and such in any income calculations.
