It seems to me that your store cards are harming your CR. I have heard that one should not open more than 2 store cards as exceeding this shows an increased risk factor to lenders. Maybe try closing some of the newer store accounts and apping for a prime card?
no store accounts are not hurting his CLI chances, I have 6 store cards on my credit report they don't penalize you for having lots of store cards, what is causing the issue is the low limits on accounts highest limit showing is $1000 GE doesn't want to be your highest limit after 9 months. Your short history with the card. Perhaps low usage of the card can't tell from the informaion availible. Keep using the card wait another 4 months and request another CLI. Stay in the garden, try for CLI that are possible with a soft pull. I would advise against applying for any prime cards because they will come with a low limits based on what limits you have. When your score is 680+ and your hard limit on the ZYNC is removed and UTL under 9% try for an AMEX revolver they trippled my highest CL at the time I had a 720 Fico at the time.
