I had a targetted Amex platinum offer for 100k MR points with 3k spend in 3 months. The spend isn't an issue, but I passed on it since I don't really want or need an Amex platinum at the moment.

 

100k MR points is easily worth much more than $1,000... probably more like ~$1,600-$2,000+ if used properly (business/first class redemptions).

I was just approved for the Discover More on the 14th of September.  I called them and this promotion was not on my card, but I was transferred to a supervisor who manually put this promotion on there for me since I am a new customer.  Thanks OP for the info.

I received my card and did not get the offer. Called back and spoke to a supervisor. It popped up on my next statement.

I spoke to a csr when I signed up for the rotating category and it was a no go for me.
