Capital One CLI -- Now is the time to ask

Yesterday afternoon I contacted the Executive Office to request a credit line increase. I've had my card, which started with a $500 CL, for exactly one year. At about six months, I was given a $250 CLI. Yesterday I requested a $2,000 CLI. Although I only received a $1,250 increase, my total CL is now $2,000. Some of you who have had your cards two or three years without an increase, would probably be eligible for more. Although my scores are pretty good, I still have a (paid) state tax lien reporting with the credit bureaus and a (paid) CO with HSBC.
I spoke to a very nice gentleman who asked questions about my income, but not too much else. Now is the time...
