Applying for Chase with seriously delinquent accounts

I would like to apply for Chase Slate to take advantage of the BT. However, I have a deed in lieu dated March 2009. I did however, just closed on a home (3.375%) and a car loan recently (3.99%). Should I go ahead and apply, or wait 4 more years with Chase?

Would cost you a HP to find out. If you have nothing else waiting in the wings, why not give it a try?

Ok, I just applied. From the website:
Thank you for applying. Your application requires further review before making a decision.
Should I call the back-door number?

My thought on this is... the car and the house are secured loans...you don't pay, they take them back. A credit card, on the other hand, is unsecured debt. The lender wouldn't have anything to take back!

Ok, would you believe they gave me a recon and approval of........................$400.00!!!
Chase want me to establish a history with them. Go figure......Oh, credit seekers can't be choosy. I am cool with that. Not to mention, I was approved 2 weeks ago with an AMEX True Reward as well.
