Discover IT is the new More
[ Edited ]

Just in case, while verifying my application today with a senior analyst, I asked him, why I was pre app for More and the app button redirected me to IT. He told me, that this is normal now, the IT replaces the More. There will be no new More cards.

Re: Discover IT is the new More
Correct. The "IT" card is pretty much the same as more - quarterly cash back categories and that lovely .25 % till 3000 spending. And let's not forget the new sleek look. Haha good marketing tool right? Redesign and market as new. I do like my it card. I have gotten numerous compliments on it too :smileyhappy:
American Express Green - NPSL, Sams Club Discover - 4000, Paypal Smart Connect - 4000, Capital One - 3500, Barclaycard Visa - 2500, Walmart - 1500, Discover IT - 1000, Ashley Furniture Home Store - 1000, Care Credit - 1000.

I didn't know that....I guess the More has simply been upgraded to IT!

Re: Discover IT is the new More

Any idea why the IT is equivalent to the More given the fee structure is radically different?

I haven't gone and looked at the source but I've recently been reading claims of some classes of fees being unenforceable now, were these applicable to the fee structure of the More card and if that was one of the driving factors, may more lenders be following suit in the future?

Interesting bit of information anyway, thank you for posting.

Re: Discover IT is the new More

No, no idea.

That is just what he told me, cause I thought this is funny. Being pre app for More and then being redirected to the IT app. I had to call in, because I did get the 5 to 7 day message and thought, it could be a good idea to ask.

Funny thing, the More is on the webside again today, yesterday it was not, at least for me.

I am not complaining, I wanted to do a PC after 30 days. This is even better. :smileyvery-happy:

Re: Discover IT is the new More

When I applied for the More last night, it didn't bring up anything about the IT, and the instant approval message was for the More.  I don't really have a preference either way.  I guess they are still making More cards!

Hm, interesting. But you should be able to PC after 30 days, if you want.
