UPDATE:

 

I just called the Chase app recon number and spoke to a super nice fella named DJ who told me I had been denied based on lack of credit history.  He offered to take a second look, put me on hold for 2 minutes and came back and said I had handled my Cap1 card really well so he had no problem overturning to decision and approving me for $800!!

 

3 for 3!
