First counteroff er ever!! JCP CLI!!

Called the auto system for a cli from $4900 to $6500 (no reason, just felt that was a good number).
Denied that amount, but they countered with a cli to $5900.
Funny thing is... I was considering cld'ing this account haha so my other creditors (Amex would wanna give me a higher limit).
Oh well... I'd say $1,000 of a cli is a good thing no matter what :-P. I hope they still send me a free TU FICO haha that's why I did it.
I always pif on this account btw!!! Haven't paid a dime of interest in prob two years!!
:-)

Thank you for posting this! I've been on a soft pull CLI spree the last two days, and managed to increase my JCP from 2600 to 4850 after reading your post! I also got the counteroffer; I asked for 5k (like you, just a number I settled on) and got a denial and a counteroffer.
Yay for CLI! This should be helpful on my util, which is pretty good as it is. ![]()

Congrats on the CLI!!!
I have noticed that you have multiple cards with a lots of credit limts. How do you keep each one of them active? Or do you only use a select few and not bother about the other ones?

What I do is alternate the accounts And charge small charged to each every few months(not at the same times).
The only cards I use regularly are: Amex BCE, Walmart Discover...
To avoid account closure, I'd recommend using each account at least once every six months for s'thing small and pif. GECRB especially is notorious for cutting limits to like $124 or $224 for inactivity. Hope that helps!
