Maybe this has been posted before but I couldn't find anything. My 61 days is coming up and I was curious what other people's results were when they requested their cli. Please post if you had a balance or not at the time of your request. What your overall approx utl was, how much you asked for and what the result was. I know there are several single posts on this but I think it would be nice to have this on one thread.

Its not important what your credit profile is link at the time of CLI request. Whats important is what your credit profile is at the time of their last SP

I know. My score was actually around 720 when I requested. The score I listed first was my score on most recent SP prior to request.

I was just appoved for their BCEP card and I am interested to see wich report they pull for their CLI's? Thanks!

So are you saying they don't take your current balance into consideration? They use the balance you had when they lost sp'd you?

Don't think people are necessarily saying that. Amex uses the last SP report, showing your overall credit picture with all your lenders. Presumably they are also free to use your current AMEX balance in making a decision, but we don't know for sure one way or the other.

What I have done with my Amex CLI request is to make sure my utilization is low on other accounts and my Amex cards are all at zero.

I was originally declined on my first request for a CLI on my BCE, then went from 1,000 to 3,000 to 9,000 on that card with each request. On my HH which started at 10,000, I recently was successful to 25,000. All of this was within a year and half.
