NEW to myFICO! -- AMEX experience
I just joined today and got my 3 FICO scores:

TU 572
EQ 534
EX 566

The last time I got my scores (which was a good 3 years ago) they were in the low 430s.  I had some messes, no BK (and still do, some old collection accounts at 5 yrs old - one with AMEX) but began to clean up and rebuild with CCs from Orchard, First Premier, Applied Bank Card and Credit One.  These accounts are now approx. 2 years old with excellent pay histories, but somewhat heavy UTIL.....which is my next project to get my scores above the 600+ mark.  I plan to do that by getting all CCs down below 10% of their CL.  My current CLs are $300, $450 and $500 which I know are low, but it was a good "starting over" at the time.  Also, I rec'd a letter from AMEX in May stating that I had an opportunity to "Regain Cardmembership" if I paid off my $556. old debt with them. I did pay it off and had to wait 30 days and they have now informed me they are sending my a pre-approved Optima Card application with a $500 CL to sign and return.  The Rep said after 12 months of good pay history I can request a CLI and also apply for other AMEX cards.

Anyone have similar experience with AMEX lately?  I intend to use the card wisely and keep balance low hoping it cill effect my FICO appropriately in the next 12 months.

Any further suggestions for raising my FICO scores quickly?

Thanks guys!

Yes, DW did. Day she received the Optima and activated it, she applied for AMEX Green and Delta online and got approved for both.

If you register online, you can request a CLI. Try once a month. They likely won't give one on the Optima, but their policies are sometimes fluid so it does not hurt to ask.

Her Delta has a $2K CL, and in July she plans to ask online for a CLI.

AMEX can be extremely generous so getting back in their good graces via the Oasis Optima program is a good way to do.

Re: NEW to myFICO! -- AMEX experience

I appreciate the reply.  I have been with Amex a long time and have three cards with them.  My anual spending on these cards is arround 60k a year and they are personal purchased for the most part.  Maybe that along with the anual fees I pay might help.  This is my first late with them ever.  I wish there was a legitamate service that were experts in this sort of thing that I could just simply pay and not worry about it.  I have heard there are a lot of scammer cleanup companies so I will take this one on myself.  Cheers,
