This seems so simple... But maybe I skimmed too much.

If you have an email from the OC stating the debt Is not yours and in belongs to someone else with a name similar to yours-- send a certified dispute letter to all 3 bureaus, describe the situation, include the email conversations particularly the part where they stated the account is not yours.

Ask the 3 CRA to delete all tradelines associated with this account.

It's not yours.... So it shouldn't be reported.
