I paid in full, then disputed due to an error on the CAR regarding the date, Equifax reported today it was removed.

Great!

I would suppose that the debt collector deleted on their own, due to the fact that the debt was paid and they simply wanted to avoid any future disputes over accuracy of any prior reporting.

I disputed and GW them 12/11/2012 and thew were both gone today!!! Not sure which one did the trick.
