Questions about the "Ignore" button

I don't understand the "Ignore" button.

1. What actually happens when you choose to "ignore" a user? As near as I can tell.... nothing.

2. How do you find a list of those you have chosen to "ignore"?

The only thing the ignore feature does is prevent that person from sending you a PM.  Not sure where a list would appear.
