What does "friend" designation mean here?

I see that you can designate someone in the MyFICO community as a "friend" but

it's not clear to me what the results are from such a designation. Is there a place

to view friends feed, or something like that?

If you add someone as a friend, you can see them online and their activites such as what they posted on and so forth.  There is no specific place to see their feeds but all you have to do is click on their name to see what they have been doing................
