I've been a loyal customer for a long time and I've tried to be patient and nice about the technical issues I've been having lately, but I'm starting to get really annoyed. After Barry suggested those of having problems contact Customer Care, I did that this morning. I explained the problem I was having buying my ScorePower report and that I'd checked with EQ and was told there was no problem with my file. I also said that I was not receiving any ScoreWatch updates.
The woman I spoke with was very nice and said she would escalate my call up to technical support and someone would be in touch.
I just received an email from myFICO. Their suggestion for me? Go get a free report from annualcreditreport.com -- and they marked the ticket as solved!!
Are they serious? As I said to them, MyFICO is content to take my money each month and not provide the service I'm paying for and just tell me to go use the free credit report site? In any case, I have already received my annual free credit report, and what I am looking for is my FICO Equifax score. The ONLY place I can get that is from myFICO.
Believe me, if there were any other option, I'd have gone there by now.
I really don't mean to be rude. I'm just frustrated and annoyed.
To be fair (and so as not to be accused of taking their response out of context) here's the message they sent me:
----------------------------
Hi [inthematrix],
Thank you for contacting myFICO Customer Care. Your order
request shows that Equifax is indicating a problem transmitting your file to us.
This could mean one of several things:
1. Your bureau file contains too much
information to transmit (and needs to be reduced). Possible causes: too many
requests for your file, multiple disputes filed.
2. Not enough information in
the file to calculate a FICO® score (At least one account that has been open for
six months or more, at least one account that has been updated in the past six
months)
3. A file error at the bureau (file marked as deceased, missing
information, etc.)
4. A general technical issue, etc..
We recommend that you go to www.annualcreditreport.com to request a free copy of your credit report (if you haven't already used you free report privileges within the past 12 months). You'll be communicating directly with the credit reporting agencies.

I can't solve your problem with SW but there is another source for your EQ FICO. You can still get one at the EQ website but they make it hard to find. You can find it here: www.equifax.com/web-myfico-products/
That should take you to the following screen. Just make sure it says "FICO" before you buy anything!!
What's the difference between what we subscribe to now (SW) & the one in the ad below (Equifax 3-in-1 Monitoring with 4 FICO® Scores)???? It seems to give you alerts for all 3 CR's & 4 fico scores!!!! SW is just not working out for me - NO alerts since 08/12 - not even an email saying nothing has happened??? I need to keep an eye on my FICO's but SW is definitely not the way for me..................

Because that EQ product doesn't monitor your scores, though I do use that product myself. EQ also has a version of SW not mentioned in the link.
So llecs, what's better because this SW stuff isn't working for me... I'm not getting alerts not even to say there's nothing changed & it's pretty costly to pull my CR every time I know something has happened... Does EQ has a service kinda like SW yet I can do daily pulls from all 3?

MyFICO has SW, as does Equifax.com, but both are from the same stock I believe. If you don't like myFICO's SW, you won't like EQ's. I personally use myFICO's SW for the 30% off, but that's because I use other CMSs to monitor the activity on my reports and use SW/myFICO for the scores. I last got an alert on 8/10, but that was due to a balance increase and since that point all of my balances have decreased. I have no reason to get a SW alert since that point and the balance drops aren't big enough to warrant a score change.
EQ does not offer a daily pull service for all 3. Neither does TU. EX offers a daily pull for all 3 via the USAA CCT resale, but of course ignore the scores. EQ offers a daily pull for EQ only through most of their products. Of course ignore the scores since they are FAKOs.
