the my fico experian has no scales for positive and negative so they use info from TU for that part. I believe it says that right on the report. TU is the only one who gives me a negative for no installments and that is what it says on my experian fico. It does not come from EX....
Hi, annie, I truly am not trying to argue with you; I'm just trying to see where you read this.
I pulled up one of my myFICO EX reports, and I saw this on screen 2:Understanding Your FICO® Score(emphasis mine)
What’s helping your FICO® score
This page normally lists the information that is on your credit report that is helping your FICO® score. Experian does not supply us with information for this section but credit reports from Equifax or TransUnion do. So please make sure you check this page with your FICO® score and credit report from Equifax or TransUnion to see what you are doing right with your credit.
The sentence that I highlighted could definitely use a comma after "for this section". But to me, this is saying "Experian does not supply us with the positive factors that would normally go in this section. If you want to get a feel for your positives, check your EQ and TU reports, because Equifax and TransUnion do supply this info, and you can see it on those reports."
Experian definitely does supply negative info, as you could tell if you could see my EX reports, lol. And this is found in the next section, where it says:What’s hurting your FICO® score(and then all the dreary scoldings about my lates and new accounts appear on my report.)
The negative factors listed here are reasons why your FICO® score is not higher. You should focus on changing the behavior that caused these negative factors. These factors are listed in order of their impact to your score, the first has the greatest negative impact and the last has the least.
Please note that a negative factor can be provided even if you are better than the national average on that factor. This means that there is still some room to work on this factor.
I imagine that there is no scale on screen 1, because without any positives supplied by Experian, the negative side would be all the way at the bottom, with the empty positive side dangling high in the air.
But I stumble over something new on these sites every week, so I would not be surprised if there is another reference to this somewhere. I'm just going with what I quoted up above.
