They don't want to give refunds because this crap is not ready for prime time. They need the money to pay for fixing it. It is kind of like a beta test program, only that we are paying to participate. File a BBB complaint and you will get your money back more than likely. I have read where this has worked for many. I did it myself today. When you finish that, go to the myFico Facebook page and sound off on this product and warn people not to purchase it. I did that too. I won't stop until I get my money back!!!

I just filed my BBB complaint today too. Do you think they are gonna get the picture? Fix it or refund us until it is fixed. Amex already credited me for my first months subscription charge.

That's great! I wish I had an Amex, but I am on the black list.

Re: FICO 3-Bureau Credit Monitoring

It is so sad that so many are having to go through the BBB and do charge-backs to get this resolved.  I feel that if myFico would simply let us know that they recognize that there are issues and are working hard to get the issues resolved, it would help a lot of us be a lot more patient.  In my opinion, the denial that anything is wrong gives the impression that there is no hope in sight, which forces people to take adverse actions.

Year 2012: All Scores in the 520 range, during a foreclosure, CC Settlement and high UTIL. Very ugly days...
April 2024: EX8: 840; EQ8: 832; TU8: 842 -- Middle Mortgage Score: 822
In My Wallet: Discover $73.7K; Cap1 Venture $51.7K; Amex ED $38K; Amex Optima $2.5K; Amex Delta Gold $18K; Citi Costco $24.5K; Cap1 Plat $8.4K; Barclay $7K; Chase Amazon $6K; BoA Plat $21.6K; Citi TY Pref $22K; US Bank $4K; Dell $5K; Care Credit $6.5K. Total Revolving CL: $300K+

Re: FICO 3-Bureau Credit Monitoring

For anyone this might help here is some correspondence information about the issue. I only received the response below after getting zero feedback from my first message and making it clear that I was not contacted so I was forced to send a second message to address the same issues, someone magically responded to me within an hour of the second message. Based on this response they are well aware that these problems exist so any customer service rep claiming they havent heard any complaints is outright lying. Frankly I agree with many others here, majority of the frustration stems from a lack of accountability and acknowledgement. If a service doesnt work then be honest enough to admit it to your customers and offer alternatives or cancelations until it does. Thats not a hard concept to grasp at all. Mistakes happen but the way its being handled is outrageous. Not sure who "upper management" is exactly (perhaps they live in the mystical land of Narnia?) but this was sent to me on the 12th and I havent received any further contact. Wonder how much time they expected to take for a review. I've tried to be patient but I would rather pay more for a service that works than waste time with a service that cant manage to accomplish the same alerts I get for free from other websites. I'll contact the BBB if necessary but I'm hoping a phone call will resolve this problem. Shame on them Smiley Sad

Re: FICO 3-Bureau Credit Monitoring

I am very disappointed in what I read here. The claim that Score changes only trigger an alert with a specific event is dishonest.  It sounds like MyFICO is jsut trying to make excuses instead of admitting their prodict is not working correctly. Maybe they should consider offering us a free month or 2 of service until they get the bugs worked out.

The website clearly states without any qualifying remarks...

When we become aware of a change to any of your Experian, Equifax or TransUnion credit reports or FICO® Scores from any of the three bureaus, we’ll alert you within 24 hours via email or text. Plus, you can customize your score alerts for Equifax credit data so that you get notified when you reach a specific score.

Your 3-bureau alerts will notify you when we detect:

  • FICO Score changes
  • New accounts
  • Account changes†‡
  • Inquiries, collections and public records
  • Name, address and phone changes

Re: FICO 3-Bureau Credit Monitoring

Got a score alert from EQ today. As per usual, not a peep out of TU nor EX.

I'm giving it a few days to see if anything comes through.

EQ - 727
TU - 752
EX - 774

Re: FICO 3-Bureau Credit Monitoring

Finally got an alert for TU on the 3-Bureau Credit Monitoring.....funny as I called today and spoke with a specialist for about 45 mins, she was actually really helpful and nice, She put me on hold a few times, did a little research as I express my concern that why should I continue to pay for a service that I am not getting and have to pay on top what I am already paying to get information I should be getting and the fact that I know my score should have changed because it has via Walmart and I just got notification that my dispute was complete and one of 3 CO's were removed so my something should have moved here and it hadn't since 8/22 that didn't make sense to me. She did say that MyFico was working with TU to try to get more info to us, she was very sincere and patient with me....nonetheless I just got an alert that my balances changed and my score went up by 12 points. However it moved lets see how long this lasts! Small victory....hopefully this is the start of it working properly.

Starting Score: EQ 615 (MyFICO) TU 588 (Walmart) EX 576 (EX Website) Started this journey 06/26/2014
Current Score: EQ 710 (MyFICO) TU 673 (Walmart) TU 726 (MyFICO) EX 706 (MyFICO) As of Sep 2015
Goal Score: 750 or higher across the board

Re: FICO 3-Bureau Credit Monitoring

I got my first scorewatch FICO score change today! Of course it was from Equifax which I was getting before via my 1 scorewatch plan... but hey at least its starting to work again. I have still not received a score watch alert for TU or EX and both of my fico's have changed.

Re: FICO 3-Bureau Credit Monitoring

Receive the following alert from TU today:

The total balance on your Bankcard account(s) has changed

The alert was for the total balance on all my bankcards. And, it came with a TU score change. I'll take that.

Thank goodness for small miracles. This is my first alert on TU.

Re: FICO 3-Bureau Credit Monitoring

I got the same alert on TU as Oilcan (first TU alert after 3 weeks), however mine came with an inquiry alert as well on TU.  Some bank called Farley Bank.  So I got nervous and was thinking identity theft, because the balance change was no where close to any balance I had, and because of the inquiry.  So i bought the 3 bureau credit report, wanting to double check.  Guess what.  Nothing of the kind there.  No inquiry from Farley Bank, no balance remotely close to the "balance change".  So I went to the TU site and got the report there as well.  Nope.  Nada.  Nothing there of the sort.

It was only after I logged on to Credit Karma that I noticed the "change in balance" was actually the sum of what I owe on every card I have.  I called to complain, because I want my money back on the 3 bureau report I purchased as a direct result of their alert.  Someone is supposed to call me back within 24 hours.

This really makes me wonder where they are actually pulling their information from.  Because it sure isn't TU.
