Write CS back and ask them if they can delete your user account information and Forum account. If you had asked them to cancel your service, like you wrote, I can understand why you got that response.
If that doesn't fix it, give 'em a call and see what they can do.
Is there a particular problem or difficulty that someone can help you with instead of having to cancel your accounts?
