Question on "setting" FICO score alerts?

In a recent notification from Scorewatch there was a "weekly tip": Set your FICO score alerts in increments of 10 to monitor your progress.

I'm confused. I thought we were supposed to set our Target score to our newest score.

What does it mean to set my FICO score alerts in increments of 10?
