Re: So you think Score Watch is working - prove it to me

This worked for me...I changed my settings, and I received 2 scorewatch reports in 3 days...

I am still waiting on a alert for BoA pulling my score, and my new BoA CC acount....

They have posted on my TC report, but nothing from scorewatch.......

but this gives me a little hope......

You received alerts 3 days in a row or 3 days after you changed your settings?

Re: So you think Score Watch is working - prove it to me

Sorry, I received a report 3 days later that my score had gone up by 1.....then the next day, I got a report it had gone down by 6....one of the reasons was I was looking for credit, although it did not give me a notice my CR had been pulled by BoA......Then yesterday, I got an alert about my new BoA account.......

I've have more alerts in the past week, than I had in 3 months just about......

so I am happy again right now.....<knock on wood>

Re: So you think Score Watch is working - prove it to me

I had been getting alerts on a regular basis, but I have not had one in the last few weeks.  But, perhaps there has been no activity.  Just never know....

Re: So you think Score Watch is working - prove it to me

Nothing seems to be updating.  I changed my settings and had it alert me for any change over $50.  I got one alert after doing this that a previously unused card reported a balance of $57.  That was on 6/7.

The last time I pulled my report, 3/28, the balance on all revolving credit was $4753 on 3 credit cards. I have received bills on all 3 cards since then, made payments, and now there is only a $3k balance on one card.  Why no alerts that credit balances have gone down?  My auto loan has gone from a balance of $5500 to $4900 too.

Example:
BofA card on 3/28 showed balance of $3610.  I made a payment of $210.  I got billed for the balance of $3400 on the next billing cycle and made a payment of $400, balance now $3000.

Discover card on 3/28 showed balance of $745.  I paid this in full on 5/16 and it still has a zero balance.

Wamu card on 3/28 showed a balance of $398.  I paid this in full on 5/18.  The next bill on 5/26 had a balance of $85, which I paid in full too.

All of these balance changes should have generated at least an alert if not a score change.

Did you turn off the setting for when your score reaches a certain amount, and leave on the one for any credit score change?

That is what I did, and it seems to have worked.....

Yes, I did that yesterday after reading it here.  I changed it to alert on any balance increase of $25 too instead of $50.

Re: So you think Score Watch is working - prove it to me

I was curious so I gave in and pulled my reports.  I had a 44 pt increase in EQ score and no scorewatch alert.  It had been working pretty well for me, but does not seem to be since early June.  Oh well, I'm excited for the increase!!
