I only purchased the TU one. Is there going to be a big difference between TU and Equifax? Or does it not matter?
Hi TJinCA,
Though the TU and EQ scores use similar criteria for generating their scores (as does Experian, which is no longer available here), there are subtle differences among the formulas, so most people see some variation in scores from one credit bureau to another. In addition, the information contained at each credit bureau is often different, which impacts scoring as well.
As to whether it matters or not, the major question is whether you are seeking credit anytime soon. If so, then it would be worth your while to review your credit reports from all three major credit bureaus to look for any errors that would hamper your chances of approval. Once a year, you can obtain your credit reports free of charge from annualcreditreport.com. Don't buy your scores through that service, however - they won't be actual FICO scores.
