I have gone several months and not had SW alerts for different changes in CC accounts. Even though I have paid down accounts or increased balances I have had to purchase a new report in order to see any change!! Just my experience!

SW will only alert for balance increases per credit alerts. If your balance increased, and if your CC says they update starting the 8th of the month (which probably puts your statement date at the 6th or 7th or even on the 8th for a few CCs), then you'll start to see balances change on your CRs starting the 9th-14th within that range, and that'll produce an alert 24-48 hrs post-EQ update. YMMV on the CCC of course. Some are super fast and some are slow. But nearly all of them will report the balance you had on the statement date and will report that starting a day or two later.
For score alerts, you can get alerted if your score goes up or down as it updates. If your balance increased, and assuming your score changes, you'll get alerted to it with your credit alert for that balance increase. If your balance dropped, and assuming that drop resulted in a FICO increase, then you would get alerted to any increase about 7-10 days after that balance updates on EQ, provided your new score surpassed your current target score. If your new score does not surpass or match your target score, then you won't get alerted. All of this is assuming the balance decrease results in a FICO change. I've paid off hundreds in revolving debt and have seen no FICO change, even after pulling a new report. YMMV on your credit situation.

Score Watch is like the Big Lebowski: It updates when it updates. ![]()
I had a lot of change recently and it just got around to updating. I've just got other stuff going on and figure it'll get right at some point.

Well that SW sucks then! Cause why am i paying for it then if it will not give me the alerts in a timely manner? ![]()

I got an alert today!
Your question is a tough one. At some point during discussions about this topic "FICO vs FAKO" will come up but I can't actually appreciate any difference between the two if a score isn't current.
I'm not buying a house, car, disputing, or anything else, so there isn't a lot of movement to track. It would be pretty frustrating, otherwise. ![]()
