inconsistent FICO score categories

In a recent mailing myFICO send out an infographic which has the following FICO score rating:

However, on the actual myFICO.com page these categories shows up:

It's not really clear to me how within one and the same company the score brackets as to what is poor, and what is good, can be so different.  It doesn't inspire confidence and it does reinforce the public perception that scores and their meaning are just made up on the fly.

Clearification would be much appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

BK 7 2010, no idea what the FICO was after that
Current FICO8 TU 734 EQ ??? EX ???
Short Term Goal: 750+ | Long Term Goal: 800+
TCL: $73,000 as of May 2019

Re: inconsistent FICO score categories

Welcome to the forum

I understand your frustration but that sounds like a marketing error IMO

The ball was dropped in proof reading the info you got from this site was correct and I would pay no attention to the mailing

Typo's happen

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?
