Walmart Approval

I must say this site is amazing! I'm trying my best to get my credit score up. Before this site, I had no revolving credit, since it was credit cards that got me in trouble to began with. Anyhoo, I was just approved for Walmart store card, with a 600 limit. Now, if I can get my nerve up to apply for NFCU. Thanks guys!!

Congrats!!! Now watch in your paper statements for their special financing (no interest) coupons. From what my local walmart manager told me, she thinks they send that coupon out with every new account on the first statement or at certains times of the year. I got one on my first statement and we went out and used it right away and now i can take my time paying down the balance.

I have to agree. The people here are amazing. I didn't know the first thing about a recon, or much about credit at all before I started lurking.

Congrats! Consider calling Credit Services and asking for $10,000 on that card! I'm not kidding, if they don't approve the full amount, they could counter offer! I was approved at $1,100, called and asked for $10,000 and they counter offered at $5,000! Always a soft pull with Synchrony (GECRB)! Even if they say no, you didn't lose anything by trying!!

And you're eligible for a CLI every 4 statements with Synchrony (GECRB)!

@baller4life, I am a member. I've been a member Of NFCU for 10 years. I do direct deposit, auto loan (only 4 more payments), and recently approved for personal loan. My credit score is 589. I thought I would wait until I got it till at least 600.

With your relationship with NFCU, I'd say go for it.

I have been a member only 3 years and was recently approved for a cashRewards at $3000 with a 580 or so score.

Have a secured with them since opening account, just refi'd auto loan at the time of the cashRewards app (3 months ago).

Grats on the WM card I got the same limit when I app'd!
