Did Victoria Secret/Comenity approve me?

Just got a "denial letter" from them and it says "we are unable to continue processing the application for a victoria's secret credit card until you contact us directly to verify the information provided"

Problem is I have several inquries now and just got another one from US bank to app for their harley davidson secured.

Is there a good chance of me being approved for this card? My gf would love to use it lol and I would like to have it as a credit builder.

now only 2 baddies but they're fairly recent(from 2012) one is a medical collection that I do not owe, that is the insurance companies bill and one is from college. The medical bill is $750ish and the college bill is $694ish don't have them sitting in front of me.

My score is currently 562, was 571 but fell due to recent inquries

My card as of now is only my Cap 1 Secured, which still hasn't reported yet which Is irritating because it should boost my score the low-mid 600's once it starts reporting as I have no credit card history.

they could just want to confirm some information with you, never know until you call them back you might get approved

I am going to call them first thing tomorrow and see what happens(fingers crossed). Hopefully I can get approved and then I'll have Cap 1 Sec, US bank harley Sec, Fingerhut(after freshstart program completes), and VS store card.

I am done app'ing for a while, so with those 3(or 4 if VS approves) I should be able to sit back, use responsibly and watch my score grow.

+1 to this. Asking to verify information is common and isn't, by itself, a denial. You have nothing to lose by calling to give them the addl info they request. You might get approved. You could (less likely, IMHO) be denied. But you're not hurting yourself in any way by just going ahead and following through.

I got a letter/message almost exactly like that from GE Retail Bank (another large provider of store credit accounts) and when I called they only asked me three security questions and I was instantly approved over the phone. It seems as if I was approved already but they needed to verify my identity, and the lady stated that it could have been triggered from the cell phone number I put down when applying not matching to a report. If Comenity is anything like GE then it seems like they want to verify your identity so they can process the application, so I think it is more of a pending status rather than a denial or 100% approval.

Just called them and got approved for $250!! Probably not a big deal to most of you, but this will be my first card I ever got approved for unsecured. Gonna let the old lady buy something on it so it can start reporting when I get it.

Same thing for me I am late to replying but was going to say if it just needs to verify you probably got it.

Dont forget to use the coupons! Pretty much each time she buys something she gets free underwear or some kind of item.

(the cards in my sig are all cards I got with 540's scores, judgements and new collections)

Victoria's Secret did the weirdest thing with me a while back. Figured the gf would like the card so I applied online and got a denial. Yes, denial - NOT the "under review" or 7-10 day response. Then about a month later, card came in the mail and sure enough, two or three months later, it hit my credit report. I never bothered fighting it because my gf wanted to use it.

But I did close it a year later after getting absolutely no CLI (auto or triggered), despite never having more than 50% balance and always PIF within days of balance posting.
