Discover CLI Approved from 1500 to 5000 Awesome!!!

Been with Discover 6 months and never received any auto cli love. Chase auto cli from 500 to 1000 after 3 months and GE Walmart Auto increased me from 800 to 1800 after only 4 months but Discover sat on the sidelines silent.

I decided to call them 10 minutes ago after thinking I still have not received my Amex BCE yet in the mail and thought well if Amex just instant approved me for 2k then surely Discover will give me some love to. After talking to an CA and asking for a $3500 increase and a few questions later I was approved my first $5k limit!!

I thought for sure they'd come back with maybe a $500 to $750 counter. I know this might not seem like a big deal to some of you credit gurus on here but to me this is a slice of heaven especially seeing how far I have come in the past couple years to even get to this point. I give it all to this forum once again!

The system gave me an automatic $500 increase instantly without HP but took the HP for the full $3500 increase.

Congrats. 3500 for a HP is worth in your case. Remember to get amex cli.

Good going. I tried to get a CLI with Discover IT today and they would only do a hard pull so with 6 inquiries, I declined to proceed. They never offered anything with a soft pull.
